The Aura is a great ski for an expert level skier looking to spend most of their time in the backcountry. Volkl's Power Construction uses their traditional sidewall construction, an extremely versatile, proven construction method that provides superior stability and sensitivity while gripping the ice and snow like Velcro. Although the titanium sheet provides dampening properties and additional rigidity, the women's Sensorwood Light Core makes the Aura a bit more forgiving and softer flexing than its big sister the Kiku. The 94mm footprint will transition between turns quicker giving a more lively feel for a big mountain feel.
